Trip Highlights
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Go from Delhi to Agra to Jaipur (spend the night in Jaipur) In the morning, pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Delhi and drive you to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. This will take about three to four hours. The exquisite Taj Mahal, which Emperor Shah Jahan erected in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, is the first place you should go when you reach there. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Have fun shooting pictures and going on a guided tour. Next, go to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with exquisite Mughal palaces, gardens, and halls. After that, head to Rajasthan's Pink City, Jaipur. Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of Emperor Akbar, is on the road. People know about its beautiful buildings, like Jama Masjid and Buland Darwaza. Arrive in Jaipur at night, check into your 5-star luxury hotel, and stay the night.
Visit Jaipur's sites and then head to Delhi. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and start your full-day tour of Jaipur. Visit the lovely Amber Fort, which is on top of a mountain above Maota Lake. Take a jeep ride to the fort's entrance and wander around the beautiful gardens and Sheesh Mahal. Next, proceed to the City Palace, which is a wonderful combination of Mughal and Rajasthani styles. Next, visit Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, is one of Jaipur's most famous sights. Take pictures there. Drive back to Delhi in the evening. It would take five to six hours. When you get there, someone will take you to the hotel, home, or airport of your choice. This is the last stop on your Golden Triangle Tour.
